Business Society Pub By Nola MacDonald Last Thursday, the Business Society hosted a pub at the Barn. The entertainment for the evening was provided by three different bands, Men Without Hairs, Madd Capp, and Step Child. Men Without Hairs were performing in the Panther Lounge. Edgar and Victor were really more ofa comedy duo thena band. However, most of their comedy involved music. They sang things like ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’’ but instead of answers blow- ing, it was cocaine. They also did celebrity impres- sions and told lots of bald jokes. The first set was really funny, but it seemed like that’s where they slotted most of the jokes, because in the second set they sang a lot more and were notas entertaining. Meanwhile, on the second floor, Madd Capp and Step Child took turns performing for an rather small crowd. I did not actually get to see Madd Capp, but everyone I talked to who did said that the lead singer, Jason Shaw, had an amazing voice. I did hear Step Child for a few minutes, and they were really good. Overall, I did havea really good time, and most of the people there seemed to be having fun. I wish that everything had not been at the same time, however. In my opinion, the Business Pub was successful. (Leftto right) Harry Snow, Marilyn Sentrer, Clifford Sentner March 26, 1992 Pace: |i
