Charlottetown, 20th Aug. 1841. mwmnac VEGETABLE LIFE MEDICINES. HESE Medicines are indebted for their name to their manifest and sensible action in purifying the springs and channels oflife, and enduing them with renewed tone and vigor. In many hundred certified cases which have been made public, and inalmost every species of disease to which the human frame is liable, the happy effects of Molfat's Life Pills and Phenix Bitters have been gratefully and publicly acknowledged by all persons benefited, and who were previously unac- quainted with the beautifully philosophical principles upon which the are com ounded, and upon which they consequently act. The Life . edicines recommend themselves in diseases ofevery form and description. The first operation is to loosen from .the coats of the stomach and bOWels the various impurities and crudities constantly settling around them; and to remove the hardened faeces which collect in the convolutions of the small intestines. Other medicines only partially cleanse these, and leave such collected masses behind as to produce habitual costive' ness, with all its train of evils, or sudden diarrhoea, with its immi- nent dangers. This fact is well known to all regular anatomists, who examine the human bowels after death: and hepce the prejudice of these well informed men against quack medicines—- or medicines prepared and heralded-to the public .by ,ignuran't persons. The second efi'ect of the Life Medicines is to cleanse the kidneys and the bladder, and b .this means, the liver and the lungs, the healthful action ofw ich entirely depends upon the regularit oftlie urinary organs. The blood, which takes its red colour mm the agency of the liver and the lungs, before It passes into the heart, being thus purified by them, and nourish- ed by f00d coming from a clean stomach, courses freely throu h the veins, renews every part of the system, and triumphant] mounts the banner of health in the blooming cheek. Mofi'at’s Vegetable Life Medicines have been thorou lily tested, and pronounced a sovereign remedy for Dyspepsia, F atti- lency, Palpitation of the Heart, Loss of Appetite, Heartburn and Headache, Restlessnsss, Illtemper, Anx1etv,Langour and'Ma. lancholy,Costiveness, Diarrhoea, Cholera, Fevers of all kinds, Rheumatism, Gout, Dropsies of all kinds, Gravel, Worms.
