Appreciation bi Retiring Pastor SACKVILLE, N. B., March 10- At the recent annual business meeting of the Sackville United Church, the psslor, Rev. Geo. Morris, B. A, B. B., presented his resignation, Mr. Morris stated that he had noticed in looking over the long record of the church that there was a tradition of short pastorates. The average term with few excep- tions was less than three years. As he will have completed four yeitrs of service at the end of the Confer- ence year, he felt that the best iri- terests of all would bc served by s. change of pastoral relationships. After consideration. w. Morris's resignation was accepted and the following minute was ordered in- scribed upon the iecords:— “An we face the severing of the pastoral relation at the end of June, we are fully conscious of the devoted suvioe that has been given by you and Mrs. Morris during the last four years. You have been a true pastor in your visiting, es- pecially in your unwearying and faithful attendance upon the sick and the shut-in. You have revived Young People's work in the Church and have been faithful in the ministration of the Word. We shall always think of you as our friend. and an a Christian leader of more than usual education and ability. To 1m. Morris we would exprem our sincere and affections‘ ap- preciation.
