MATILDA MacI)0NALD The death occurred at Char. lottetown on December 15th. 1952 of Mrs. Matilda MacDonald of Peakes Station in her 81st year, The deceased had born in ailing health for the past three years, but her death came suddenly in the end. During her illness she was frequently visited by her pgg. tor, Rev. J. B. Croken, and in Charlottetown by Rev. Father Bot. ger, who also was called to her bedside shortly before she passed away. , Mrs. MacDonald was born in Plsquld in July, 1672. She married Ronald MacDonald, who pre-de. ceased her thirty-three years ago. Being left with a family of ten, she performed her duties faith- fully and was never known by her family or friends to utter a word of complaint. Her chief interests in life were in her home, making it cheerful not only for her own family, but to the numerous friends, both young and old, who visit a her frequently. She is survived by the following daughters and sons: Marlon (Mrs. Wilfred MacDonald, Hudson, Mass); Granville (Mrs. Joseph Hollander) N. J.; Etta (Mrs Elmer McQuaidl Peakes Station; Burni- dine, New York; Georgie (Mrs. W a l t. e r Affleck) Charlottetown; David, Rumford, Maine; Leonard, Charlottetown; Jamie, Charlotte- town; Earle. on the honiestrrd at Peakes Station. Two sons and one infant daughter predeceased her. Three sons and two daughters were at her bedside when she passed away. Her remains were forwarded from the Charlottetown Funeral Home to the home of her son Earle at Peakea Station, from where the funeral took place on Thursday morning, December 18th. leaving the house at 8.30 A.M. tn St. Ther- esa's Church where. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Rev. Basil Croken, who also conducted the services at the grave, assisted by Fr. Butler. Pall bearers were Messrs. Peter O. MacDonald. George Dorei-.Bor- den Mooney, Harold Jay, Walter Rodgerson and Urban Bradley. ANDREW DOUCITT In the City Hospital on April 16 Mr. Andrew Doucett passed to his eternal reward, after a short ill- ness, at the age of M yen-;, He was born at New Glasgow Mills and as a young man moved to Rennie: Road where he was engaged in farming and lived un- til his death. He was married to Alice Brown who ytedeceased him two and a half years ago; his daughter Gert- rude also ytedeceased him just fifteen and a. half months ago. The late Andrew Doucett was a kind father and neighbour. honest and upright in his dealings with his fellow men. He leaves to mourn his loss one daughter Irene. Mrs. Ben Plneau. and one son Ray.residing in Char- lottetownnalao two grandchildren. Mary Gertrude and Carol Ann Doucett. The funeral took place on April lath from his late residence to st. Augustin'a Church where Requiem Mass was celebrated by his pastor, Rev. Father'C. Peters, who also officiated at the grave. The pail- bearera were Messrs. Gerald Proc- tor. James McDonald, Arthur E.
