     IN pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of 
     
    

    
     this Island. made and pasScd in the 27th year of the 
     
     reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “An 
     
     Act to consolidate and amend the several Laws im- 
     
     posing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and 
     
     for the. encouragement of Education ;” and. also. of an 
     
     Act made and passed in the 'I‘hirtieth year of the same 
     
     reign, intituled " An Act to amend the Act relating to 
     
     Land Assmmcnt :” 
     
    

    
     I do hereby publicly notity the owners or occupiers 
     
     of land iti this Island, for which the annual Assessment 
     
     or Assessments charged thereon by the said recited Acts 
     
     or Some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two- 
     
     pvnce, lawful money of this Island for eVery hundred 
     
     acres of wilderness or uniniproVed lands contained in 
     
     the several Townships and the Islands belonging there- 
     
     to; and the sum of six shillings and eight-pence of like 
     
     money for every hundred acres ofcultivati-(l or improv- 
     
     ed lands iii the said SuVeral TOWIisliipS and Islands as 
     
     aloresaid ; and at the. rate of nine shillings and tWo-pence 
     
     of like money per hundred acres for wilderness 'or unim- 
     
     proved Town bots and Posture Lots in the Town and 
     
     Royalty of Priiicetown; and at the rate of six shillings 
     
     and ciglit-penee of like money per hundred acres to]: 
     
     Cultivated or improved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in

     cupied as the Barrack Square. in proportion to area on

     in Charlottetown; and the sum of four shillings of like

     paid into my hands. or the hands ol‘any oi my deputies, 
     
     (as required by law) on or Indore the fifteenth day of 
     
     December next. 1 shall proceed against all Such Lands
