T O NI'G H'rT . LET’S ‘ LALL , MAKE LOVE: -IN LONDON -—— the prize-winning, contro- versial Peter Whitehead film which led critics to call it “bristling with fascinations of every kind” . . a. “a fab- ulous, pulsating panorama of sound and color”. And TO- NIGHT the movie is here —— the highlight of THE KIN- ETIC ART’S second film pro- gram. Showtime is 7:30 and 9 :30 pm. “TONIGHT LET’S ALL MAKE LOVE IN LONDON” — pleasure is the theme of Whitehead’s rambles through the night air. Moving from the mock-heroic tone of “The Fall of the British Empire” to pop art, Michael Caine dis- cusses his own approach to seduction, Julie Christie talks about her acting, and a body- painter demonstrates “kinky art”. Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones explore intui- tions about the present, Eric B-urdon and) The Animals sing their way out of some World War footage, and dawn draws the psychedelic curtain. And that’s not all. Also featured on tonight’s. film program is the wild Japanese mixture of live action and animation — “WHAT DO YOU THINK” — the film that beats incessantly of out- let's all nageous gags and ridiculous reality so joyously heaped on it leaves no doubt that flow- er power is flourishing in Tokyo. That’s followed next by i the first film to come from the ~man-y hours of footage shot by French “Directors on the Student Revolution which seized the Sonbonne and rock- ed the French government — “PARIS, MAY 1968”, produc- ed anonymously rbv The Film Cooperative of Paris. The film emerges as a lyric cry from the streets, with its everapersent refrain “This is only the beginning—continue to fight.” TEN MORE FILMS SUNDAY UPEI’s student -, run Film Society wraps up it’s 1969 season Sunday night in the Duffy Amphitheatre with the third and final film program of THE KINETIC ART — ten more films as dazzling and! dramatic as Friday’s night’s —— “Why did You Kiss Me Awake” . . . “Two Grilled Fish” . . . “Happiness” . . “The Spider-Elephant” . . . some of the titles as intrigu- ing as the films themselves. Sunday night’s wind-up pro- gram will also feature a spe- cial film — “Phenomena”, by Jordan Belson of San Fran- cisco —— the film Vincent .C‘anby of The »New York - Times says ,makes “2001: A Space Odyssey” look like a comic strip. “N ever has there been a film like this before”. Come early for a good? seat. \How right you are from the Peking University Press (PUP) It is expected that when one has reached the much vaunted “academic milieu” that one would least learn to clarify one’s terms. However, the erud-ition of the Burkian- Buckleyian faction( a jewel- ler and a cough medicine manufacturer) has succeeded in thwarting the “chaos” agents on this campus once again. I would like to personally commend the “Silent Major- ity” for effectively stemming the Communist surge on cam- pus. Let us not underesti- mate the power and devious- ness which the rural prolet- ariat is (attempting to wield on this campus. Don’t be fooled by their liberal slogans because we have evidence . that the-y are trying to des— troy this campus and all the great tradition that it repre— sents by attacking the auth- ority of our Administrators who are the only qualified de- cision—makers on this campus. I have heard much danger- ous cr1t1c1sm on this campus, and this has encouraged me to write to my local MP. (Mounted Policeman). It is time we stood up: and faced this militant left wing threat — as we all know, question- ing and criticism will destroy the basis of our fine social balance. We cannot allow this to happen! We must de- fend the men who made this country strong and great — the K. C'. Irvings (gas), the E. P. Taylors (horses), and the Duponts? (napalm). The bleeding heart liberals must be eradicated (wiped out) with the radical faction, and we must make no con- cessions to trivia such as meaningful dialogue or social reform! Let us be realistic for a moment; we can never hope to overcome poverty and injustice in this world be- cause- it would have deleter- ious effects on our Gross Na~ tion Product and seriously ef- fect the way in which a Gal: lup P011 is administered. Re- member that everyone needs se-curity in today’s world and that is why the Founders Of this great country saw to it that we had social classes in order to insure this very thing. Nothing is better for a man than a sense of be- longing to a group — such as the lower class. It gives a man a fellow to whom he can confide in and to loathe — and remember, nothing en- courages ambition in a man like a good loathing. I remind you that “the class that prays together stays.” Yes'my fellow siblings, we must fight off this challenge and use any tactic at our dis— posal to thwart this insidious threat. We must Red-bait, slander and spy-lead half- truths in orderto- encourage fear and resentment in our brethren to help them to see the threat that is upon us. Let us do our thing in the groovy way that we all know. Be sure and write (right) in for our b o okl e t entitled (called) “43 Groovy Ways to Subvert the Left” or “Moth- ,«er Founded the Klu Klux Klan”. —Karl M. True Chequing Accounts.
