IN MEMORIAM NEIL NICHOLSON In the passing of Mr. Neil Nicholson at his home in North 1958, this province has lost one of its most respected citizens, and this, and surrounding com- munities has sustained a great loss. Although Mr. Nicholson had ssed his four score year and had been in failing health for more than two years his pass- ing came asa distinct shock to his family, relatives and many ee Mr. Nicholson was born in Hartsville, February 22nd, 1878, the son of the late John Nichol- son: and his wife Aan Gillis, pioneer Highland . His faithfulness, his unselfish and untiring’ ser- vice to his Lérd and Saviour in this congregation will long be remembered. For 30 years he served as member of Session, and for many years superinten- dent of the Sunday School. Mr. Nicholson leaves to mourn his passing, besides a _sorrowing widow, the former Marye Aan MacKay, who tenderly. cared for her husband during his ill- ness, a family of fifteen, ten sons and five daughters. The sons are, John, Glen Valley, Donald, Summef$ide, Roy, St. John, N.B., Everett, New Wilt- | shire, Lioyd, ‘Murray _ River, iManfond:--St. Petes, Sheldon, | Carlton, Wendell, Hunter River, and Lesslie and Cecil at home. The daughters are, Annie, Mrs. Charlottetown, Mamie, Mrs. Donald MacPher- son, Darlington, Jeanie, Mrs. Angus MacPherson, Darlington, Bertha, Mrs. George Douglas, Norboro, and Shirley, Mrs. Roy Craswell, South Rustico. Also 27. grandchildren and one sister Janie, Mrs. Fred Crawford, On- tario, California, .U.S.A. The funeral which was very largely attended was held from his late residence and was con- ducted by ‘the Rev. Donald>Nic- holson. and Mr. Robert Bhe. Hymns sung were the twenty- third Psalm and ‘Forever With The Lord”, a solo, “Will The Circle Be Unbroken”, was suag very feelingly by Mr. Stephen MacLeod. The pall bearers were Messrs. Everett MacLeod, Edward White, Donald MacPherson, An- gus MacPherson, George Doug- las and Rey Craswell. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the family plot in the Hartsville Cemetery.
