' In each of the fifteen Electoral Districts into which Prince Edward lsland ii divided (five in each county) two candidates are elected. One c ndidate in each case is the Assemblyman who may be voted for by every male and female person who is a British subject, twenty-one years of age, who has resided in the Province for a year and has been living in the electoral district since June 20, I943. The other candidate is the Councillor candidate voted for by property owners, and their wives or husbands, wor veterans with overseas service and clorgymen in actual charge of a church or parish. The owner, freehold or leasehold, must have an interest in the property to at least the value of $325 and must have had such prior to February 20, i943. Such land owners, and their wives or husbands have a vote for the Councillor and also for the Assemblyman candidate in every separate electoral district in which they own or have such interest in such land. War veterans must have served on active service outside of Canada during the Great War of l9l4-l8 and have resided in the district for twelve months. Every person who or whose husband or wife, owns or has an interest in any house, warehouse, shop, building, or land of the value of $100 and had same on February 20, i943, has a vote for Assemblyman in any electoral district in which ouch property is situate, in addition to his vote in the district in which he lives.
