A man from Duvar pleaded guilty to the same charge, that of steal- ing a car belonging to Mr. Claude MacNeill of O’Leary last Sunday night and was remanded for sen- tence until Thursday. ‘Another Duvar man pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to steal a car owned by Theodore Gallant. Duvar, on January 9th and was remanded » for sentence until Thursday. The same party also pleaded guilty to the theft of a - 1954 delivery truck on the same date, January 9th, and was re- gianded for sentence until Thurs- ay. War Veteran Dies In B. C. Ray MacLeod Graham's Road P. E. Island received the sad news of the death on Janudry 24th. of his eldest brother George Clayton of Vancouver, B. C. Cannon To Seek New Term Councillor Edgar Cannon, a candidate for the West Ward in the coming Summerside Civic election is a master mechanic with Curran and Briggs Ltd., and has served one full term on the council where he is chairman of the Water and Sewerage Commit- tee. Mr. Cannon has been chairman of the Summerside Lobster Carni- val Committee for the past two years and is slated to take on the job again this year having done a masterful chore in hand- ling the many detailed arrange- ments for this annual event. Mr. V Cannon, his wife and family re- side on Court C'.:eet. Veteran Dies At Camp Hill Edward B. Morrissey 60, died ,in Camp Hill Hospital following a lengthy illness. ' He was born in Milburn, P. E. 1., and was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Morrissey. He attended school in Milburn and served in the army during both World War I and II. He made his home in Halifax forsthe past 35 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Irtme Roma.
