It was decided to forward to Ot- tawa correspondence received from dealers in Boston and New York who were also opposed to the cllallge, which had been made ulthout consulting the local in- dustry. was devoted to a discussion re- garding the size limit of lobsters and the concensus was that Ot- tawa should be asked to clarify the understanding regarding reg- ulations deallng with the spacing of laths in the traps. The Feder- ation also wants further informa- tion from the Federation Depart- ment of Fisheries on the change in regulations regarding the measur- ing of lobsters. A suggestion was offered by Mr. Frank Hardy, Conway, a lobster fisherman. who said it was a waste of time for fishermen to use the carapace measurement. He pro- posed a size limit on the traps in- stead of on the lobsters. several taking part in the discussion sup- ported his idea.
