The success that attended the Opening day of the Bazaar exceeded the expecta- }tion of al’, A large number of people visited the rink during the afternoon and night. The dinner, tea and refreshment tables were well patronized. This is not to be wondered at, when a first-class dinner or tea, with admission to the bazaar, can be had for 25 cente. The ice cream and oyster booths, too, came in for their own share of patronage, as also did the soda water fountain and flower stande; and the receipts at the fancy and other cables amounted to a handsome sum. The musical part of the programme was well looked after by the Citizen’s Band, and thev, with severa! accomplished pianists, dixcoursed the sweetest of music during the evening. On the whole, it may be said that everyone was well satistied, and that the first day of the Bazaar was a de- cirled success. The big magic lantern show by Messrs.
