The film shown was “Desert Victory", which showed the 8th Amy's campaign in Africa. This film proved to be very inter- esting to all students. Last night the P.W.C. boys bas-' ketball team played their last game oi’ the semi-fixials against the Navy team-On Friday evening the P.W.C. girls played their return game at Amherst. The Amherst team winning by a score of 34-14. T-he score did not by any means indicate the play. Time after time the P.W.C. girls uiere in the clear only to be robbed of points by poor shooting. On the basis of the play the P.W.C. girls were certain- ly the equal of their opponents, and next year with more practice and experience the team should go far. The P.W.C. badminton tourna- ment continued their games on Tuesday evening with Mildred Cudmore and Norma Campbell eliminating Theresa Murnaghan and Elizabeth Johnston. Mary Campbell and Charlene Owen win- ning from Frances Campbell and Marie Jenkins. Tush LeFuigy and Virginia. Campbell eliminating Orlo Jones and Mary Ramsay. On Monday evening the students of the Teacher Training Depart- ment presented a Variety Con- cert ln the Prince of Wales Audi- torium. The proceeds of the con- cert went to the 1.5.5. campaign for the Canadian Appeal for Child- ren. Prince of Wales College was the first o1 the Canadian colleges to go over the top in the campaign.
