plaudits of the onlookers reserved for tim
regulars. As the local forces swept to the
suluting base their friends would start;
an huzzah that the whole throng
cordially seconded.
The Islanders, the holders of cups and

cheeringdwaifed the music ofthe mas-
sed bands and our boys had more enthu-
siasm than music to march past by as the
bands by some one’s blunderlng were put
nearly two hundred yards away from

careful enlinement that has alwsyd
marked their ceremonial work.
The troops after the march past took up

beautifully, kept behind the ropes,
hundreds of teams, thousands of people
