GREAT BRITISH SPECIFIC FOR RAPID FAT-REDUCTION The burden of the obesity is so dis- tressing and so unpreposaessing. T116 preparation is not unknown here al- ready, but the obstacles in the way of its supply to the general public were necesarily great. All difficulties are now removed. Ere the important discovery of Antipon the treatment usually enl- ployed for the reduction of weight in- cluded starvation dietary rules. Sweal- ing and purging, together with min- eral drugging. All these things are weakening in the extreme. and, when obslinately persisted ln, ruinous to the constitution. Antipon is diametrical- ly opposed to such drastic methods. To expel the_ superfluous fatty mat- ter from the system is all very lwell. but the body must he amply ll0\1l'lSl19d at' the same time. Now. AntiD0!l “Ol only rapidly eliminates the excess of fat, but overcomes the unfortunate tendency to “run to fat." Amllle wholesome food therefore becomes Antipon's strength-giving ally. and there is no need to dread that the ex- tra nourishment taken will bring about a re-development of excessive fatty tissue. Every dose of Antipon is u sure step in the direction of the recovery oi’ beauty of form, and vigorous nervous energy. _ The decrease of weight is not a ted- ious process. Within twenty-four hours ot’ the first dose there is a re- duction varying, according to indi'vi- dual condilions, between 8 oz. fo Zi lbs. The scales \vill be the unerring re- corder. 'l‘he daily decrease is emin- ently satisfactory. When normal weight and symmetrical proportions are regained the treatment is no long- er necessary. Antipon contains only the most harmless vegetable substances in solu- tion, the llqiiid being in appearance like it light red wine. lt is palatable, 'efresliing and slightly tart, and never 'Jcresions any unpleasant reactionary effects. Antipon can be obtained at all drug stores, from stock or to order. oi' in :uso of any difiicluty, a large case will be forwarded direct front the Ant.ipon Laboratories, Store Street, London, W. t'., Eng., carriage paid. on receipt if remittance for 5 dols.'11c. _ I' 4' - I _ Liberal-Conservative Convention A Liberal-Conservalive (lonvcntion to nominate candidates for the First District of Quecn’s County, and to transact other business in the inter- ests of the Association. will be held at-Bradalbane on Saturday, July 3rd, at 2 o‘clock p. in. Dear Father,-A line to let you ,know that l'm still living. in good health. with three square meals and medical attendance free, so don’t worry about me. I don’t know where I am, where l am going to, but l'm on my way. 1 received a letter from Amy the other day, telling me about Will. As l happened to be there the same time, I heard he was shot the first time his company made a charge at about six o‘clock on the morning oi' the 23rd. So I dropped a line to Martha telling her to let you know. I was billeted across the road from him for about two weeks before we went to Ypres, so was with him every day. The last I saw of him was on Sunday before lie was killed. lie was as strong and healthy as ever. Oh, it was hell at Ypres.. I can’t imagine how the infantry stood it like they did. (The Canadians don’t budge.) l could hear nothing but Whistling Willles. Singing Susles, .lack Johnsons, and Coal Boxes, so you can form an idea of your own of the kind of music we had to work to.
