Miss Mamie Ross taking thc solo part STOCK NOTE.- Among the breeders of pure bred ayrshire cows in Kings County who are coming into prominence iis Mr. George Annear of Lower Montague. At the Miller sale held a good many years ago when Mr. Miller's excellent herd was dispersed. Mr. Annear purchased one of the larg- est. deep bodied. long tcatcd milk cows. Hc has since been raising calves from her and has succeeded in build- ing up a good herd. l-Ie entered the old cow in thc Record of Performance test and she made a very creditable showing for a cow of hor age giving over 11,000 lbs of milk. One of her calves is now in the test. Last month she gave 1,248 lbs. of 4 p. c.. and is at tha present time giving 42 lbs. a day. Mr. Armour is steadily getting 'clear of 'his grades and replacing them with pure breds. He ls now offering some lleavy milking grade Ayrshires cows for sale.
