MIOKAY The news of the passing of Hec- lor MacKay of Desable on August 13th. 1951, was heard with regret by a host of. friends and acquaint- IIICGS. Son of the late Hector Maoxay and his wife Mary Ferguson. he was the youngest of a family of eleven. He was born at Desable June 23rd, 1377 and spent his whole life there A life-long member of the church of Scotland. and one whose entire life was devoted to its well being. he will be greatly missed in that respect. as one who took a leading part. in all church affairs. For mdny years he performed the dut- ies of Church Secretary for De Sable and was also Secretary for the Western Parish for a time. His home was noted for its hos- pitality to friends and strangers alike and many indeed there are who will fondly remember their happy associations there. A successful farmer and one who was interested in progressive farm- lng. he. with his brother James operated on Illustration Station for a number of years. His devo- tion to family life. his unfailing hospitality and Christian outlook on life will not be lorgotten by those who knew him best. There are left to cherish the memory of a kind and loving hus- band and father his wife. and six daughters. Charlotte at home; Bea lcc. Mrs. Roland Buchanan. Chu chill: Mary. Mrs. J.
