WOOD The death occurred at the Prince Edward island Hospital on March 13 of Calvin W. Wood of Cross Roads in his seventy-fourth year. He was born at Hazelbrook in 1882, son of the late George and Eliza Wood. He lived for several years in Hazelbrook later moving to Cross Roads where he built a home and carried on farming and dairylng. He was industrious and very successful in all his under- takings in life and suceeded in creating for himself. his wife. and family a very fine and hospitable home. He was interested in all that was for the welfare of the com- munity and was always ready to lend a helping hand in any worthy cause. The late Mr. Wood was for many years a faithful member of Pownal United Church. In his passing the community has lost it good citizen: his children a kind father and his wife a faithful and loving husband. He now rests from his labors. and awaits the coming of his loved ones to greet them on the golden shore. He leaves to mourn his widow, formerly Mary Jane logs of Pow- nal; three daughters. Hazel.
