U.|~ The regular monthly meeting of I the W.M.S. was held on Sept 16th at the home of Mrs. Pcardon Hamilton. Mrs. George Dixon. the presi- dent welcomed the members of Whim Road W. M. S. who were guests of the evening. also several other visitors who were present. | Meeting opened with the hymn; "Take My Life And Let It Be".; which was followed by responsive Scripture reading. A circle of readings on missions were then elven. Taking part were Mrs. A. S. Adams, Mrs. Horace Fraser, Mrs. L. Wiggington and Mrs. Eth- an Stewart. A vocal duet was pleasinelyren- dered by Mrs. D. M. MacDonald and Miss Aenah Brehaut. after which all joined in singing the. hymn "I Love To Tell the Story "l Prayer. led by Mrs. Adams then‘ brought that part of the meeting to a close. A most interesting paper on the Church in India. dealing in part with the difficult-i. ies met by those in that land who accept Christianity, was read by Mrs. Archie Hume. This being the final chapter of the Study Book it was decided to send for the new book. I Mrs. RD. Fraser agreed to take the Study Book for next meeting and Mrs. J. M. McLean the de- votional period. Roll call was responded to by 12 members and nine visitors with a favorite hymn or verse. It was decided this same topic for roll call be used at next meeting. Some discussion then took place on the quilts which are being made for the annual Labrador box. A splendid report on the recent Baby Band Party was given by. the leader. Mrs. Lester MacLood.
