Among the numerous and valuable presents was a handsome donation, accompanied by an address from the trustees of St. David's Church, in which Miss Irving presides, with much acceptance as organist. The happy couple left this morning for a trip to Boston and other eastern cities. They have the best wishes of a host of friends, in this section of the country. eemenatiieteate On Wednesday night last the store of Mr. J. D. McLeod was entered by burglars. The outside hatch was broken open and an en- trance thus effected to the cellar. After roaming about the cellar the burglars went upstairs to the store, broke the cash drawer open, and took therefrom a quantity of old coins. They also captured a quantity of sugar, soap, tobacco and other articles. With these articles they repaired to the cellar en route to ithe hatchway by means of which they had »btained an entrance. On the way they dropped some of their booty, which was found next morning. A young lad named Dunn,who ey ee in the burglary business, had xeon seen loitering about the premises at a late hour on the night of the robbery, and was at once suspected, The police were noti- fied and Dunn and a companion, ‘**Oiney” Smith, were arrested. In court this morning Smith said that he was standing at Dodd's corner on the evening of the rob- very, when he was taken home by an Italian woman. Dunn said that Smith was mixed up in the robbery with him, and was in the cellar a# 800m a3 he himself was. Marysvitie, N. B., June 15. The ministerial delegation were together by themselves all yesterday afternoon dis- cussing the Currie scandal. The proceed- ings were to be kept quiet until this morning when the conference would reopen and the result of the deliberations would announced. The reporters, however, were determined to know beforehand the con- clusions arrived at and with little trouble it was learned that by a vote of 49 to LI Mr. Currie had been expe!led from the ministry. — Jubilee Banquet.
