Wert Wortu Seeing —The east window of Stanley Bros. dry goods store contains a very artistically-arranged memento of the season. The departing year 1892, is rep- resented by an old man, whose hair and whiskers are white and whose form is b-nt, carrying a lean carpet bag in one hand and a ecythe in the other; while 1893 is represented by « fine-looking and exceed- ingly healthy infant in a cot, and in whose hand is the cornucopis or horn of plenty. In Week's & Co's window are the words ‘A Happy New Year” artistically con- structed of reels of thread, and over the whole is the illuminated sign of =he firm. —We are authorized to state that M-, Thomas Campbell will be a candidate for the vacancy on the Board of Water Com- missioners.
