The ecenic effectu were excellent, and the costumes rich and appropriate. The specialies by Baby Vavine and Miss Vavine were several times encored,and the motion pictures were greatly appreciated. This afternoon a matinee is in progress, the bill being “If You Must Lie Tell a Good One.” Miss Tucker presents the children with candy at the close of the performance. To-night “Escaped from Sing Sing” will be the bill. This is said to be the best American melo-drama ever written. Mr. Meldon wil be seen at bis best in this piece and he will be supported by the fall strength of the company.
