She is but little over 7 years of yet there is hardly a duty or detail of = rail- road telegraphy in Texas that she is not thoroughly familiar with. Her tather has been an operator for years, and the little one has passed all, or pearly all, ber time in a telegraph office creep. An Englishman has patented a system of manufacturing slippers, dale, and other coverings for the feot out of paper.
