The Alerald’s correspondent telegraphs from Leva Delta, April 12th:—Melville found the bodies of DeL ng’s party in two places, 800 and 1,000 yards from tie wreck of the scow. Melville party stopped at the place Ninderman, and passed the first day after leaving DeLong, feeling sure the othérs had not got much further. There they found the wreck, and following along the bank, came across a rifie barrel hung upon four sticks. Two bodiee were fouud here, under exght feet of snow. Melville went along the bank and saw a camp kettle and the remains of a fire about 1,000 yards from the tent, and approaching nearly tumbled on DeLong’s hand sticking out in snow. Here, under about a foot of snow, they found the bedies of DeLong, Ambler and Asham, all partially covered by pieces of tent and blankets. A\{l the others except Alexis they found at a place where the tent was pitched. Two bvaids, records, medicine chest, and a flag on a staf] were behind the tent. None of the dead had on boots; their feet were covered with rags, tied on. In the pockets of al! were pieces of burnt skin which they had been eating. The hands of all were burned and looked as if when dying they crawled into the fire. Boyd was lying over the fire and his clothing was burned to the skin. Collins face was covered with cloth. All the bodies were carried to a hill, three hundred feet high, forty versts to the southwest from where they were found, and interred io a mausoleum con structed of wood from the scow surmounted by a cross. The mausolenm was covered with stones aud will be sodded in the spring. The cross is inscribed with the record and names of the Dead. Melville and party then separated to search the Delta for Chipps’ people. Ninderman and Bartlett found nothing and Melville has not yet returned.
