Each member of this family is a talented performer in his O1‘ her own right. and for 50 miuutcsa lost night, including time for cncores, they combined to put across a pro- gramme of rare musical excellence. George Lawrence, eldest member of the family. is musical director. and knows “his music." his trumpet solo "Camival of Venice" being en- thusiastically received, Leila Lawrence delighted the audi- ence with her xylophone number. and Kelly Lawrence, the baby of thc family, and her little older brothcr did a specialty number with hand- bells that brought clown the house. The musical numbers are inter- spersed with singing, dancing, and comedy dialogue, but it is the instru- mental work that constitutes the backbone and peculiar charm of the whole arrangement.
