Elastic, rubber, thread, calcareous tufa for the m: unufacture indurated fibre ware, rolled iron tube, angle iron, lacquered iron tubing for the manufacture of bedsteads, hemp paper, and felt board for the manufacture of gun wads, and cartridges have been placed on the free list until such time as they are manufactured in Canada Henderson, a local barrister, to-day wrote the Minister of Militia, claiming the sum f $5,365 and interest from 1885 on behalf of Bremner for loss of his furs during the primers rebellion. He also claims $14,000 for general losses sustained during the re- bellion. Middleton en iphatically declares that he will not P ay for the furs.
