With a pair of scissors, cut the pieces of macaroni into small slices, ionnng little rings. Marin- ate well with French dressing, to which chopped onion has been ad- ded, and serve on lettuce leaves. S. —SEAPLANE LEAVES FOR BANGOR-The seaplane which brought Miss Massy to Summerslde on Wednesday evening, remained in the harbour until the following afternoon. S. -—REMAINS BROUGHT ROMP FOR BURlAb-The ashes of the late Edward Jarvis, eldest son oi the late Dr. Jravis of St. Eleanor-s, were brought from Folkstone, Eng- , land. recently for interment in thel family plot at St. Eleanors. They‘ arrived in Summerside on Monday and were sent to St. Eleanors, where they rested in the church. until Wednesday morning, when in- terment took place in the presence of his sister, Mrs. George Wei-bur- ton of Charlottetown and a few in timate iriends. Ven. Archdeacon C. de W. White, D.D., rector oi the parish, performed the simple com- mittal service. S. —WELL KEPT TOWN-From the beginning of spring painters have been busy redecorating the many fine residences in Summer- side. New houses are being built all the time and these new dwellings make attractive additions to the town. Particularly on Water Street, the business street o: the town, one sees that the paint brush has been at work and the business section oi Summerside is about as an attract- ive centre as any one would wish to see. The business men dress their windows to attract the eager shop- per and at this time of year there are many souvenirs ior the tour- ,ists. The new paved streets, which I are now all completed make travel- ling easy and Summerside streets are considered as good as any in the Maritimes. It is suggested that a still further improvement might be made if the streets were washed down at least once or twice a week. Water Street, where the main stores are, could be washed down every morning before the people get about so that tourists would be im- prmsed not only with the hand. some buildings, but well kept streets.
