PARIS, Mnrcli 31.-The Temps in belittliiig a renewal of the spy scare since the Zeppelin rnid a week ago. declares odltorially that it can give every iissiiraiice that there is no caiisc for uneasiness in this respect now. It is said, however, and appnreiilly upon ollicial information, though such is not siutcd to he the case, that the widely oirculntcd stories last July of (Icrnian spies disguiscil as fnruicri-i and stationed at important railway centres to blow up tunnels 'and other- wise cripple tho rail coininunications were well grounded in fact. According to this nowspaper's infor- mation these spies were stationed tlirougliout the eastern part of l~`rnnce. Most of them were occupied on farinn which were wilhiii easy reach of stra- tegic tunnels. It was their mission at the first call for mobilisation to so cripple tho railway system by dyna- niiting tunnels and otherwise injuring the roads that the transportation ot troops would ho seriously hampered. Tho Government. however was cog- nlaant of the plan in its every detail. with the result that before final mobilisation orders were issued. all ot' these spies were put out of the way and not a single railway accident occurred.
