The Min- ister's platform has been moved forward to s new position, steps are placed st each end making it accessible to the Minister from either side ,0! the Church. A brass rsil twelve inches high. and similar in design to that of the gallery rail. is mounted around the front of the platform. The choir loft, which was originally placed st. one side of the Church, is now back of thc Minister's pist- form in the centre directly under the organ. The curved screen 1n front. of the choir has been ex- tended. on each end and canted oft on as angle to come in line with the pillars of the arch. The choir will now enter at each end of the loft, and will have access to the main body of the Church near the doors where they shall enter. The choir will be seated in three rows crescent shaped, one row extending iuii across the loft, the others divided on each side of ‘ the console. This seating arrange- ment will accommodate fcrty two choir members. each row- with an elevation of twelve inches above the one in front, so that all mem- bers will have full view of the organist. The console in the cen- tre directly back oi the Minister's chair permits the organist to have full control oi the choir for direction. National Temperance Study Course , Christ. - Church, Cherry Valley for Sunday, l i i i Rev. G. Carlyle Webster, Minister The front of the organ ease, the console and the wood work of the interior of the Church has been revarnlshed in a beautiful semi- gloss finish. The new work around the Minister's platform and choir loft. has been Zffliried to match the existing wood work of the Church. The organ, a. Canadian Pipe Organ Company instrument. of twenty-four stops, electrically blown with a tubular pneumatic action, has also been rebuilt. The console mechanism has been com- pletely overhauled. new valves, springs, etc, installed. and the pedal board rebuilt, the console now nearer the organ makes the mechanism much more efficient. ‘e I\ Literature iinii Life s; aooman ORIGINALITY Is there anything new under the sun.
