To the Editor, . It has come to my attention that the Assistant Bar manager of the UPEI Student Union owned Panther lounge has been let go. The reason for this dismissal is unclear and the famous “Rumor Mill’’ is having a field day at the expense of the former Assistant Bar Manager. The persistence of the Student Union to leave hidden many of its internal discussions and problems as shown on numerous occasions this year, has in my opinion, left the student body upset with the organization. It is about time that I as a student should have complete knowledge of the decisions made by the Student Union in my name. it is about time the UPEI Student Union came clean about its dirty laundry. It is about time (6 months after the event) that we students found out what goes on behind closed doors in regards the resigna- tions of: Student Union President Tracy Arsenault, Vice President Rick Gallant and Student Union Speaker Greg Bradley. It is about time the unfair hiring practices of the Student Union were investigated. At the mo- ment, only athletes, friends of present staff or ex-executives are hired. All I am asking of the Student Union is to be accountable for all of its decisions.
