BANK SECTION I ESCAPES Apart from smoke, the section of the building in which banking business Is onductcd l damage. and all of the bank iiiults and records are safe and unharmed. Mr. Hart. who has been mah- ager of the bank at Victoria for several years. is also mana- ger of the branch of the Bank in Nova Scotia at Crapaud. Mem- bers of the staff at the Victoria Branch are Mrs. Hart. and Mn. Alexander (Sandy) Morrison. About a week ago Mr. Hart was notified that he is to be transferred in Bath, New Bruns- wick, and was scheduled to leave on Tuesday to take up his duties there as manager of that branch of the bank. Mr. Ralph DeGrassc. with the Bank of Nova Scotla at Summer- slde. In to be the new manager of the Victoria and Crapaud bran- ches. and had made plans to move into the living quarters in the bank building at Victoria. When he learned of the fire. Mr. De- Grasse went to Victoria to conic with Mr. Hart regarding their mutual problems which resulted from the fire. After telephone communication with head officers of the bank at Saint John.
