To the Electors of Ward Three Ladies and Gentlemen!- Having being again invited to come forward as a candidate for the repre- sentation of your ward in the (Fity Council I have decided after due con- sideration, to consent. My experience as a member of the Fire Department for the past twenty- two years enables me to speak with authority on the requirements of the city in this connection. and I recog- nize the necessity oi keeping the de- partment up to the highest possible standard of efficiency consistent with economy. The question of improving the con- ditions of the streets will receive my best attention. While a great deal is being done towards improving these, much still remains to be done. I would make it part of my duty to see that the streets in Ward No. 3, es- pecially the side streets, received a fair share of the expenditure for this purpose. I have always considered that Char- lottetown ought to be one of the fore- most cities in Canada and my aim shall be, if elected, to do everything in my power to make lt. so.
