At 5:30 the staff and children of the Sunday School sat down to a very bountiful suipper provided by the Ladies Guild of the church. At ' 7:00 o'clock the children gave a short entertainment which was enjoyed by a. large number of par- T0 The “Citizens 0f Charlottetown; was an operetta entitled "Santa ' Claus Christmas Party." Mr. Jack Anderson took the part o! Santa Claus and Mr. John Burroughs acted as the Snow Man. The chil- dren taking part were from the Primary and Junior Department of the Sunday School. Alter the pro- gram was completed the presenta- tion 0t prizes for the year was made after which Santa Claus presented each child with a bai; of candy and an apple. The chil- dren enjoyed themselves very much and it was thought the entertain- ' ment was the best one held for some time. Throughthe kindness o! Mr Charles A. Lumsden, a former member of the congregation, each lady teacher in the Sunday School received a box o! chocolates. Despite the best of medi- cal attention and nursing. it was found necessary to have iher remov- ed to the Hospital for further treatment. Following her enta-ance there on the evening of December 1st, a diagnosis showed that her hours on earth were but few, and she gradually sank, and on the above date. she passed peacefully to her eternal rest, sustained by the last rites of the Church, and mourned by her son-owing husband and family. and nirne-rous friends and relatives.
