The establishment of the rock wool ,industry followed successful experiments by the Dominion De- partment of Mines which showed that large deposits of _a special type of limestone existing in the Niagara district of Ontario were capable of being used in its pro- duction. Most of the product is being used by the construction trades for pur- poses of insulating against heat and cold, and it is claimed there is a market for it of almost unlimited possibilities.
