The lady librarian was mighty nice-she hunted up the in- formation for me out of one of the feed books. Well, i: seems that ordinary, every- day calves with the usual kind of feed, don't grow more'ii around a pound a day on the average. A good call’ will gain, maybe, a pound and a half. It depends on the breed and the strain. The: made me feel pretty good. My calves don't come from any extra good strain, but one of ‘em has gained over a pound and three quarters s day-that’: in six months-and the other two pounds a day, in eight months. I guess you know why that is-yes, I'm bring- ing ’em up on Ogllvle "Miracle" Calf Meal. Both of those critters look like yearlings already.
