/ THE UPEI SUN,Thursday,Nov.3O,l978,Page 'l - orioi , In this, my last editorial, I would like to thank the people who made working for and on the SUN so enjoyable. There are a great many people involved in the production of the paper, from reporters, typist, photographers, regular writters, lay-out staff and so on? The person who without a doubt has done the most work for the SUN has to be Pat Ingrham, the Student Union Secretary, who does all of our typing. If one looks over the amount of print in a 16 or 20 page paper one realizes the amount of work for Pat. Thanks Pat, although we some- times don’t show it, we really appreciate what you do for us. There are alot of faithful staff members I would like to mention, but first I would like to thank the Business and Engineers for always having their articles in on time. The SUN has a number of regulars Jock Talk, Nevelle Sports, Manpower, Financial Aid, Exchange, Movie Club and Intermural Schedules, but they tend to run a little late. A paper would not be a paper without photographs. Lee Donnelly put in a lot of hours in his dark room _ running off prints for the SUN. SOme issues had 30-35 photos. Our lay—out staff, John Cairns, John Moore, Maria Driscoll, and friends who put it all together. They will be the core of the staff next semester. GOOD LUCK. I would like to thank the following for their articles or the hours they spent at our hth floor office. Clair Nantes, John Moore, John Cairns, John Neville, Gus Gaudet, Darla Ford, Laurie Tierny, David Wood, Lois Piercy, Clair Robertson, Suzanne DeJong, Mickey Place, Rita Pendergast, Al Smith, Al Ward, Barry Chandler, Tom Clark, Chris Short, Vince Mulligan, Derwin Banks, Val Manson, Mike Cleaveland, Kevin Gauther, Prof. Ledwell, Prof Pratt, Nora Cutcliffe, Maureen McCabe, and Soupy (Dave) Campbell. Also thanks to the Journal Pioneer who does our printing for us &,our advertisers, Nortons, LePages Bike Shop, G.J.s, Cascade, King of Donairs and the Page One. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR by The Anonymous Typist (With apologies to the mouse that didn't stir.) 'Tis three weeks before Christmas and all through the U. Not a creature is stirring not even a gnu. The students are sweating it out in their rooms Preparing to meet their semesteral dooms. The reading they should have been doing all year Has been carefully avoided in favour of beer, And papers assigned way back in September Are suddenly due on the lst of December. Exams are approaching with frightening speed And nothing, but nothing, that date can impede. The profs are all waiting - . Though trying not to show it - To find out who'll know it And those who will blow it. But this too will pass, as do good things and bad, For it's "that time of year“ for the poor undergrad. Then it's off for the holidays, parties and fun. 50 . . . . . . . ..
