" that if you wear a skirt everyone asks you why you're so dressed up. that every clock on came pus shows a different _time.* . that you were smarter, so what. that I'd go to a party the night before a final that Chem. labs require more time than all my other credits combined._ that change is a very positive experience and shouldn't be avoided. that you know everything and fail a test. ' that I could get used to almost anything, I found out abbut my roommate. that home would be a great place to visit. that most of my educa- tion would be obtained outside my classes. that friendship is more than just getting stoned together. 7 what I was getting into. that I would become one ‘of those people my parents warned me about. that free food served at 10:00 is gone at 9:59. that Sunday is a figment‘ of the world's imagina— tion. There are various sports clubs such as the karate club,and the fencing Club. Lots of peeple arrange their own In the fall and -spring, groups of friends get together after/class outside their residence to play football or softball. It's really fun with the sun shining and somebody's stereo speakers sending‘ fgreat vibes out .an open 'window. In the winter you can play .hockey outside the residence - of‘course you have to improvise(shop- Pins carts for goal nets... but it's fUn. Also the campus has a rink, a gym, John MecRae 'include basketball, Sports and tennis courts. Uni- versity students have ac-. cess to the Y swimmingpool Intramural sports in- ‘clude flag football, soft- .ball, and broomball, floor hockey, basketball, volley- ,ball, hockey, badminton. Competition involves the residences, and the dif- ferent areas of study. For example,engineers take on Business; or Blanchard, takes on Marion. Sometimes competition .ié‘ arranged within an individual res- idence. (For example, Blanchard Hall has table- tennis tournaments.) Intercollegiate sports soccer hockey, and field hockey. There are several 'We no longer have a foot- ball team. Athletes have to manage studies, fun, and sometimes a job, like other ‘ students, but they also have hours of practice to sched- ule around. If you get on- a team, you will probably find that involvement in sports is rewarding, al- though it takes up a lot of your time. From Kensington, John MacRae and Peter McDonald are on the soccer team. Peter is also on the hook- ey team.
