Father Hammill, cousin of the bride. united in marriage Shirley Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Dawson. and Donald Elmer Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Percy Lewis, of Coverdale, Albert County. N'. B. The church was beautifully dec- orated with summer flowers and the guests pews were marked with white ,ribbons. The winsome young bride en- tered the church on the arm of her father who gave her in mar- friage. She looked charming in a floor length gown of white satin with a sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice. Her finger tip veil was held in place by a beaded coronet and she carried aibouquet of red roses. Mu. sterling Noonan, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and wore a. gown of rose taffeta with matching turban and mitts and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Mr. sterling Noonan, friend of the groom, was groomsman. The bride's mother wore a white flowered nylon dress and a cor- sage of pink roses. The groom's mother chose a grey suit with grey accessories and a corsage of red roses. The ushers were Charles Daw- son, brother of the bride, and Foster Lewis. brother of groom. Following the ceremony a re- ception was held at Birch llill Tourist Home and breakfast was served to about sixty guesis. The wedding table was decorated with the bride's cake and centered with cut flowers. The toast to the bride and groom was proposed by Rev. Father Reginald MacDonald, and responded to by the groom. Fitting speeches for the occa- sion were made by several of the guests.
