Those that were there were appreciative and enjoyed arich treat. Mr. Brander possesses a voice of rare compass. sweetness and power. In the rendition of the various selections Mr. Brander showed keen appreciation of the sentiment and in his interpretation of the same the audience was instructed and delighted. To the counter attractions may be attributed in part the small atten- dance. Should Mr. Brauder however favor us with another recital we are sure that he woiildbe greeted by a much better audience as he richly deserved tc be. Miss McLean in her readings de- lighted her audience as she always does. The rendition of Sue’s Ride was highly dramatic and merited the encore received to which she graciously respended.
