The following Committee. with the
president and secretary, of the Associ-
ation,was appointed to attend the meet-
ing of the National S tbhath School Con-
vention to be held at Atlanta. Ga., on
the 27;h of April: Rev. Geo. Manifold,
J. K. Ross, D. Montgomery. _
Rev. D. Price delivered a capital ad-
dress dealing with the ' Sabbath school
as an evangelical force.
The evening session which was pre-
ceded by a hall hour devotional service
led by Mr D. Montgomery ot Alberton,
io ned at 7.45 with the resident, Re
P° P Y.
Mr. Raymond in the chair. The min-
_ nies of previous sf ssion being then
; called for were read and adopted.
After singing, Rev~ W. J. Howard
was called upon. He r-ada most ex-
cellent and wel prepared paper on
‘-The 'I`eac,hei`s Equipment.” The im-
portant points made were (1) Patience
possessed of the teacher to combat with
the rough and uncouih nature of the
untutored boy. (2) Spiritual interest
in the scholars welfare. (3) Loyalty
to the church in general. (4) Loyalty
to one`s own church and denomination.
(5) Exclusion of selfishness and the
great necessity oi entire willingness to
work.
The iinancial committee then submit-
ted its report which showed-there be-
ing no balance over from last year--
reteipts of S5-i T4 and expen es of
  $160.91, including estimated eiipenses

Ti-In Royal Art Gallery was visited by
a large number of peoi le yesterday
afternon and evening an i it is sate io

Thegreatest surprise was that such a
collebtion of curiosities of various kinds
and so many works of art, old and re-
cenl, could be gathered in the Y.M.C.
A. from but a tew places on P.E.Island.
Books and paintings as old as 300 years.
‘ Besides the large number of old ones
there were also many late drawinvs.
engravings and paintings which would
do credit to museums ot larger cities.
One article particularly interesting to
citizens is the irst :deed of the tirst
Post Otiice built on the Island and which
bears the signature ot Governor Fau-
ning. This Post Oihce was situated on
Water St., near the foot of Prince St-
Other things to be seen were, Luther’s
commentary on St. Pa.ul's epistle to the u
Galatians, which was pnnted in 1635; _
never before sold at.
