The attendance was large including many of enjoyment and to see new* mem-: bers stepping in, realized their wishes; to the fullest extent. The program- consisted of songs, organ solos, vio-l lin solos, graphophone, dialogues, re- citations and step dancing. The pre- sident in opening the meeting ex- plained in a few well chosen words the purpose of such a meeting, giv- ing a brief account of the success ol the club during the past winter, and asked new members to join. Two spe- cial features of the meeting were the speeches of Mr. Charles Arsenault and Mr. John F. Arsenault. Both speeches, delivered in French, were iiuent and well in place. Both em- phasized the benefits derived from a debating club, and gave valuable hints on self~educati0n for young men and boys.
