The Assignee, or the Assignee of any Assignee, of the discoverer oriuventor of anynew or useful art, machine, manufacture, or composi- tion of matter, or of any new or useful improve- ment on any art, machine, manufacture, or composition of matter, not known or used before the passing of this Act, within this Island, as aforesaid, or before the application for the Patent in respect thereof be made, shall be en- titled to the same privileges and advantages under the said recited Act, on complying with the provisions thereof, as if such assignee were the assignee of the patentee, or of the execu- tors or administrators of the patentee of such new or useful art, machine, manufacture or composition of matter, or of any new or useful improvements on any art, machine, manufacture or composition of matter. IV. Nothing in this Act contained shall have any force or effect until Her Majesty’s, assent thereto shall be signified, and the noti- fication thereof shall have been published in the Royal Gazette neWSpaper of this Island. An Act relating to persons now, or hereafter to be, confined within the limits of the Saint Eleancr’s Jail. [Passed April 19, 1869.] E it enacted by the Administrator of the Government, Council and Assembly, as follows : I. Any person or persons who shall now have, or hereafter obtain, the limits of the Prince County Jail, at Saint Eleanor’s, under the pro- visions of the Actof the Twelfth Victoria, Chapter one, and of the Act of the Thirtieth Victoria, Chapter fourteen, shall (besides having liberty to go and be at large within the boundaries of Lot Seventeen, as by the said Acts now pro~ vided and allowed,) have liberty to go and be at large within the boundaries of the town of Suminerside, including the Wharves and Water Lots of said Town ; provided, that such limits shall, in regard to the Water Lots and Streets in the said Town of Suminerside, be held to extend to the line of ordinary low water mark.
