A verse of scripture was given in answer to the roll call, and dues were paid. The theme for the evening was "Easter gave us the Bible". The opening hymn, "Oh Word of God" was iollowed by prayer, and an- other wcll known hymn, ”Brcak Thou the Bread of Life" was sung. The president gave a reading which was appropriate. and the hymns, "Up From the Grave He Arose" and "Come Let Us sing or A Wonderiul Love" were also sung during the evening. The scripture reading, Mark. 14th chapter, verses 82 to 50, was read by Mrs. Wm. D. Fraser, and Mrs. George Clarey continued reading. verses 53 to 72. Mrs. Webb Nicholson gave an enjoyable reading of a portion irom the study book, "This Is our Faith", written by Prof. John Dow. ' Further study of this book will be continued at the next meeting which will be held at the home of Mrs. George Clarey in June. A note of appreciation was received from one of the members who had been remcmbe ed during her seri- ous illness. At the close of the evening while the members enjoyed a social hour lunch was served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. George Clarey. The meeting closed with the benediction. BROOKLYN W. I. .'Mra.
