In 1911 Mrs. Burkwoll went to South China as a missionary of the Presbyterian Church. spending in all about B) years in that work. Mrs. Burkwall married Rev. Mr. urkwall. a ' Secretary of the Britiii and Foreign Bible Society. in Canton. in 1930. After his retirement in 1937. they lived for some time in Edmonton, Alberta. where he continued in Bible Society wor for some years. Upon the death of her band in 1953 Mrs, Burkwall liv with her sister Mrs. J. Stevenson in Saint John, N.B. They both came back to the land of their birth in July of this year.
