WASHINGTON, March 14.-To-day is set for the tryout ofthe new Peoli hydro-aeroplane, which is offered to the government under the bids re- cently opened by the Navy Depart- ment. The Peoli machine was offered at $6,800 each, the lowest of the bids opened. It is the product of C. M. Peoli, the young aviator who recently flew over the Andes. It is said to em- body many new features, and is armor plated to withstand rille~firc. Mr. Peoli has odored to fly over the city, landing in the grounds of the Washington monument. He claims a speed of 85 miles an hour for more than seven hours, and that it can lift 600 pounds beyond the regular burden of 'pllot, passenger, engine, fuel and machine gun. Following the demonstration here Peoll plans to fly to Governor‘s Island, New York. He says it will take him only two hours. From there he may try a flight across the country. Back- ing Pcoll is a syndicate of New York capitalists. ' - MVSTERIOUS LIGHT SAILING' OVER NEW BRUNSWICK. '\VES'I`ON, N.B., March 14.-Mr Wm.
