the stone required from Nova Scotia
with their own steamer and barges. Yes-
terday, however, Mr. R.C. McLeod whom
they have appointed their agent here sub-
mitted specimens of hard Island stone
which Mr. McDonald approved of and
which he has decided to use for ballasting
and has authorized Mr. McLeod to cou-
tract for 4 to 6,000 tons, to beaielivcred in
Summerside. Mr. McDonald also purpos-
es building a few lighters if the necessary
material can be procured.
