Dead Letter Office: mjstewart@upei.ca Editorial 2: Find the Hidden Spelling | Mistakes -or- Thank You Well... We've got one issue under our belts (phew). True, there were moments when I wasn't sure if we'd ever get it finished, but some- how, we managed. A pretty good paper too. Actually, I feel great about the first paper. We received some incredibly positive feedback. Over the last week there were a lot of good things said about The Cadre. I also heard a few people say "The Cadre sucks"— but that's understandable — please everyone, and all that... There were a few minor mis- takes of course. I suppose that's to be expected with a first issue. Quite a few mistakes actually. Mostly spelling. To be honest, there were a lot of spelling mistakes. A lot. I assure you, the staff here at The Cadre aren't the bad spellers that you may think we are. It's just that we can't type. Can't type at all. Hopefully the spelling prob- lem will be fixed in subsequent issues, but I suppose we'll just have to wait and see. Maybe we could have some sort of contest — find all the spelling mistakes and win a new bike or some- thing. Hmmm... Maybe not. But seriously — the first issue was great. I was very pleased with the you can't outcome. A lot of people worked very hard to bring it to life and I want to quickly thank them here: Thanks to Richard Lemm and Leslie-Anne Bourne for all their sup- port. Thanks to Geoffrey Lindsay for allowing me to bounce an idea or two off him at the 42nd Street Lounge. Thanks to the entire UPEI Student Union — especially Chris, Heather, and Cara. Thanks to the guy who boost- _ed my car for me in the parking lot behind the Sports Centre — and the woman who loaned me her umbrella. Thanks to the slushy-machine in the cafeteria — and the arcade-game in the corner of The Wave. -A great big Friendly-Giant sized "Thank You" goes to the entire staff at The Cadre. You guys are great. Fantastic. Stupendous. Marvellous. Superific, even. Seriously guys (and girls too), thanks so much for such a great start. Special thanks to Thomas Lloyd, who spent about one hundred hours glued to his computer trying to make everything fit and a few hours in the hospital with a dislocated shoulder. Thanks.
