Montague. on Saturday evening. A number of the descendants of the Gordon- Macbaren clan met to discuss the proposed celebration to be held during the coming summer. Com- mittees appointed at previous meet- ings reported good progress had been made in urrangernents. It has been decided to hold the gathering in July. when it. is ex- pected that as many as possible of the descendants of "the pioneers" will assemble at Brudenell Island. The ceremonies will open with ll commemorative service at the site of the monument on ”The Little Island" when some noted speakers will give interesting talks. Follow- ing this the crowd will assemble in an adjoining field to spend a pleasant afternoon with friends and possibly meet many relatives for the first time. Sperm and guns: will be provided for the young folks; there will be a cater- er on the grounds. lots of bagpipe music and Highland dancing. and is general good time should be had by all. No doubt everyone with any Gordon-Macisaren blood in their veins will plan to attend this picnic and thus perpetuate the memory of the brave pioneers who landed on these shores one hundred and fifty years ago. At the close of the meeting de- licious refreshments were served by the hostess. assisted by Miss Anna and Master Eddie. Murray Harbour Notes ..'Mi'.
