Camp- bell, Superintendent of Education, ac- companied by Inspector Gallant. Among the visitors present were the retiring trustee, the three trustees, Mr. S. E. Gallant, Mr. Harry Darby and Mr. Leon J. Arsenault. The prin- cIpal's room was examined by the Superintendent, as wasalso some of the work in the other two depart- ments. Mr. Gallant carried oil the examination in other departments, principally in French. On the whole, the result of the examination appar- ently left a very favorable impression on the examiners, as well as on those present. At the closo the pupils were given exercises in physical drill and performed their part very crcditnhly even to the smallest of.the primary department. As the Superintendent wanted to catch the 4 o'clock train going to Summerside, he was com- pelled to take a hurried leave with a hasty handshake and congratulations on the efficiency of the school. The pupils were then all assembled in the principai’s room, where they wore rid- dressed by lvessrs. Harry Darby, S. E. Gallant and'Joseph L. Gallant, trus- tee. Mr. Darby was very explicit to his young bearers and forcibly ex- plained how education made the man, leader in any new movement or pro- gress in s. community, Mr. S. E.
