Royal Canadian Air Farce Flypast by DANIELLE CHRISTENSEN es, yes, yes, indeed. Joe Clark, the Eveready Unity Bunny, just keeps going and going and going, and he was going in Charlottetown last Friday night. With him were Pierre Trudeau, Brian Mulroney, and a whole cast of other characters all wrapped in the talented voices of the members of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. This CBC sponsored comedy troupe played to a full house at the Confederation Centre of the Arts. The Radio programs taped at this show are scheduled to air Sunday, October 18 and Sunday, October 25 at 1:08 p.m. on CBC Radio. So, is it worth tuning in to hear what your friends and neigh- bours were laughing at? As Joe Clark would say: ‘‘Yes, yes, yes, indeed!”” The antics of Roger Abbott, Don Ferguson, Luba Goy, and John Morgan are not to be missed. I left Friday night’s show with my face fixed in a permanent smile. It hurt something fierce, but hey! No pain, no gain! Air Farce took shots at Montrose, P.E.I. and Malpeque Bay oysters, at the Irvings and the McCains, at the referendum Yes’s and the referendum No’s, at politics and at the Blue Jays. | listen to Air Farce all the time, and seeing it in person was even more fun, due in large part to the resident Air Farce sound effects marvel Anton Szabo. Crunching celery, tearing paper and slamming doors, Szabo was a whirlwind who was as much fun to watch as his effects are to listen to. [had absolutely no complaints with the show, but I think Charlottetown residents need a few lessons in the vocal audience participation. They didn’t seem to want to laugh unless they know they were being recorded. This meant that the comedy being produced for the sole benefit of the live audience felt rather flat, much to the apparent disappoint- — ment of the Air Farce members. I don’t know if the older average age of the audience was a factor, but it would bea crying, screaming, jumping-up-and-down-and-howling shame if Air Farce was in any way discouraged from coming back ‘o Charlottetown as soon as possible.
