A very large crowd at young and old were in attendance at the 155th anniversary of the land- ing of these hardy Scotch settl- ers. Rev. C.W. Paterson very cap- anbly addressed the gathering, congratulating them as outstand— ing pioneers and good citizens, he also dedicated a prayer. other speakers were Maurice Chater . of Lausanue, Switzemliand, who is a nephew of EB. MacLaren, who also briefly addressed the au- dience. Dr. Dloyd. Shaw of Char- lottetown also spoke briefly. A wreath in memory of the pioneers was laid at the monu- ment by Mrs. Wm.‘ Dewar. Following the service on the 15. land, the annual meeting was held with all committees being rte-elected and the officers to be appointed at a later date.
